A Planning Commission Meeting is currently scheduled for Thursday, September 24th, 2026 at 7:30 PM in the Penn Hills Government Center’s Council Chamber located at 102 Duff Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15235.
NOTICE OF SPECIAL VOTING MEETING
Notice is hereby given that the Mayor and Council of the Municipality of Penn Hills will hold a Special Voting Meeting on August 31, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in the Penn Hills Municipal Building, located at 102 Duff Road, Penn Hills, Pennsylvania 15235.
The purpose of the meeting is to consider and possibly take action on the following matters:
- Ratification of a new Memorandum of Agreement with the Penn Hills Police Advisory Board for a four-year extension of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, expiring December 31, 2030; and
- Ratification of a Memorandum of Agreement with the Federation of Adult School Crossing Guards, AFSCME Council 13, for a three-year extension of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, expiring December 31, 2029.
No other business will be considered.
Road Closure – Frey Road
Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing emergency maintenance operations on Frey Road (Route 2063) in the Municipality of Monroeville and the Municipality of Penn Hills, Allegheny County will begin Wednesday, August 19 weather permitting. Frey Road will close to traffic between Thompson Run Road and Cameron Drive from 7:00 AM Wednesday continuously through 2:00 PM Thursday, August 20. PennDOT crews will conduct debris removal activities at the structure carrying Frey Road over Thompson Run. Traffic will be detoured.

- South of the closure
- From Thompson Run Road head south
- Turn right onto Jefferson Road
- Jefferson Road becomes Universal Road
- Bear right onto Frey Road
- End detour
- North of the closure
- Same detour in the opposite direction
Please allow extra time and use caution when traveling through the area.
Duff Road Skate Park -CLOSURE
Effective immediately, the Municipality of Penn Hills will be closing the Duff Road Skate Park, adjacent to the Penn Hills Local Government Center. The closure is in preparation for demolition work to begin on Friday, August 14, 2026. The existing skate equipment will be removed from the site to make way for new equipment and other improvements. Other sections of Duff Park will remain open during this project.

The Penn Hills Senior Service Center office will be closed on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, from 8:15 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. for a staff meeting.
